How to be naturally convincing - even in critical situations
Today I would like to give you valuable insights and practical tips on how you can boost your self-confidence while remaining authentic in your beliefs. Healthy self-confidence and an authentic demeanour are crucial – both in your personal and professional life. However, unconscious behavioural patterns often prevent us from really coming into our own.
The importance of self-confidence and authenticity
A lack of self-confidence often manifests itself in a lack of self-esteem. This can manifest itself in various ways:
- arrogance (as a protective shield to create distance),
- conformity (out of a need to please others),
- overachievement (to get the feeling that you have to earn your right to exist).
We often developed these patterns early on in our lives to protect ourselves from emotional injury. They may have been helpful in the past, but today they often block us, both at work and in our private lives. They keep us stuck in old, early childhood thought patterns that still influence our view of ourselves and the world today.
Acting authentically: practical tips for everyday life
I always emphasise how important it is to stay relaxed and maintain a healthy relationship with yourself. Here are a few practical tips for your everyday life:
- Restlessness and nervousness: nature and daily rest breaks help you to ground yourself and reconnect with your own thoughts and feelings
- Confusion and uncertainty: Regular, reflective writing creates clarity in diffuse thoughts and emotions.
- Anger, resentment and rage: Write down your thoughts, reflect on them, sleep on them for a night and write again. If you still need to after that, you can take action.
Through continuous self-reflection and practical exercises, you will gain inner peace, clarity and autonomy in the long term. These steps not only promote your self-esteem, but also strengthen your self-confidence.
