What has been the most defining mistake of your life so far?
The point of asking yourself this question is not to get lost in the past and feel bad, but rather to become aware of the circumstances to make sure you don’t make the same mistake again. This way you can continuously learn about yourself and grow from it.
Here is a selection of insights that help you to stay focused.
To stand still instead of running and then set off in a relaxed manner.
Perhaps you will find one or two suggestions here:
- When in doubt, take the next small step instead of a big one.
- Don’t take yourself so seriously. Nobody else does.
- Pay your monthly bills on time.
- You don’t have to win every argument. Agree or disagree.
- Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
- Make peace with your past so it can’t negatively affect your present or your future.
- Don’t compare your life with that of others. You don’t know what package they are carrying.
- A singer sings, an author writes, a painter paints. If you want to be or do something – do it!
- It’s never too late for a happy childhood. However, you are responsible for the second one yourself.
- Light the nice candles and wear the good clothes. Don’t wait until a special occasion. TODAY is special!
- Whatever you do, prepare yourself very well – then hand it over to the flow.
- Be who you want to be. Don’t wait until you’re old and gray to dye your hair pink or wear purple/yellow combinations.
- Ask yourself about your daily little disasters: “Will this still be important in five years’ time?”
- Wherever you are – good or bad situation: it will change.
- Go out – every day! Miracles are waiting everywhere.
- Breathe slowly and deeply. This will bring you down.
- If you don’t ask, you won’t get.
So – was there anything helpful?
Is there something missing that particularly helps you?
